Early Kinder TestingEnrichment ProgramsEarly Entrance Kindergarten Assessment Dates and times are subject to change. Assessment is designed to test kindergarten readiness. A non-refundable fee of $60.00 will be due at the time of registration. Registration will reserve your testing spot, testing times/dates will be scheduled in May. The Early Entrance Kindergarten Assessment will take place in June. The results of the early entrance assessment are final, HUSD does not have an appeal process. District will charge tuition for the second year of kindergarten enrollment in the amount of the basic state aid received for other kindergarten students.(link Policy JEB) Testing will last approximately one hour. Parents/guardians must stay on site until the testing is complete. We will not permit parents/guardians in the testing classroom. HYSL SoccerHigley Youth Sports LeagueWinter Soccer development programs help improve the players' skills as solo players while incorporating their skills into a team and teaching them the rules and dynamics of the sport. No matter what club a player belongs to, this program will help the player to be more creative and more supportive of co-players on the field. HYSL VolleyballHigley Youth Sports LeagueOur mission is to extend educational opportunities through athletic competition and competitive performance. These 7 weeklong sessions will promote citizenship, sportsmanship, a healthy lifestyle, and positive life skills in our student athletes. One day out of the week Power Ranch will be open for open gym practice. Games are held once a week on Saturday mornings at Power Ranch. Warmups will be held 20 minutes before the game. Practice and game schedules will be sent to parents as the season progresses. Volunteer coaches are needed. Registration fee will be waived at the end of the season- Volunteer applications will need to be submitted by 2/14/26 Tier III Volunteer Packet- please reach out to Julisa.gonzalez@husd.org as soon as possible Grades: 3rd-5th and 6th-8th Co-ed Spring Season: 4/04/26-5/16/26 Time: Games are roughly 1 hour long. Higley F.I.T (Financially Intelligent Teens)Adult/Teen programsHigley F.I.T. Crew When Financially Intelligent Teens (F.I.T.) grow up, they are prepared for the responsibilities of adulthood, avoid bad debt, are equipped to build wealth, know how to plan for retirement, master the art of saving, spend consciously, use credit responsibly, have high credit scores, and invest with confidence and purpose. The Home Economist, LLC is proud to offer the Higley F.I.T. Crew; an after-school enrichment program designed to turn high school students into Financially Intelligent Teens by teaching the basics of personal finance and how to build a strong financial foundation. Topics include saving, spending, investing, insurance, identity theft, debt, credit, college & career planning, estate planning, donating, and taxes. The Higley F.I.T Crew will meet from 2:20 PM – 3:30 PM, every Tuesday from March 24 through May 12, 2026, at Higley High School, Room 1101 Cost is $49 per participant. Higley HangoutHigley Hangout is an out-of-school time enrichment program that offers a variety of activities including organized indoor and outdoor games, developmental centers, arts and crafts, and study/ homework time. Afternoon snacks are provided at no additional cost, we do recommend bringing a snack from home. Higley Hangout is not a licensed childcare facility under section §36-884. Thus, Higley Hangout, offered through the Community Education department, provides only recreational or instructional activities to children who may enter into and depart from the facility at their own volition. The facility may require the children to document their entrance into and departure from the facility.
